Changing your fiber color is the easiest part of running TAG Precision sights. Thanks to the patented FiberLok™ system, there’s no heat, no glue, and no “melt-and-mushroom.” Back out one set screw, drop in a new fiber, lock it down — done in minutes, right at your bench.

SAFETY FIRST — EVERY TIME

Before you pick up a tool: point the muzzle in a safe direction, remove the magazine, and visually and physically confirm the chamber is empty. No exceptions.

How The FiberLok™ System Works

The FiberLok quick-change system: fiber rods lift out and lock in with a set screw
  • Machined lens for a crisp, uniform dot — no dim outer ring like melted fibers.
  • Mechanical retention. Exposed fibers pull in maximum light, and a steel-captured set screw locks each one so it can’t fail or fall out.

What You Need

Everything for the swap is in the FiberLok™ TSF Customization Kit:

The included allen key (hex wrench)
Your replacement fibers — 5 front and 8 rear, in up to 5 colors
Spare set screws (included), plus a Glock front set screw
Optional: tweezers or a small pick to seat the fiber

Fibers come pre-sized — no cutting, no melting. Just be sure you have the right kit size: 10.3mm fits standard TSF sights; 8.3mm is for select models.

Swapping The Rear Fiber

1
Confirm the firearm is unloaded. Muzzle in a safe direction, magazine out, chamber clear.
2
Loosen the set screw. Using the included allen key, back out the rear sight’s set screw a few turns — just enough to release the fiber.
3
Remove the old fiber. Slide it out of its channel (tweezers or a small pick help here).
4
Insert the new fiber and center it. Feed your new color into the channel and position it so it shows evenly on both ends.
5
Snug the set screw to lock it in. Firm but gentle — enough to capture the fiber. Don’t crush it.
6
Repeat for the second rear fiber if your sight uses two.

Swapping The Front Fiber

1
Confirm the firearm is unloaded and the muzzle is in a safe direction.
2
Loosen the front set screw with the included allen key. (Glock front sights use the included Glock front set screw.)
3
Remove the old fiber and insert the new one, centering it so it shows evenly.
4
Snug the set screw to lock it in. That’s it — you’re running a new color.

Quick Tips

  • Never use heat or glue. FiberLok holds the fiber with a steel-captured set screw — that’s the whole point.
  • Don’t overtighten. Snug the set screw just enough to capture the fiber; crushing it dims the glow.
  • Center the fiber so it shows evenly on both ends for the brightest, most balanced dot.
  • Keep a spare set screw on hand — extras are included in your kit.
